On 1st March 2015, we both became proud owners of The Lovat Loch Ness as Sean took a leap into the hotel business by buying Caroline’s parents out to enjoy retirement for the second time - here is our story.
David, Geraldine & Caroline took over The Lovat on 3rd June 2005 and embarked on a £1m project to upgrade the hotel: complete hotel re-wiring; installation of central heating & an ecological biomass wood chip burner; complete bedroom & bathroom renovation; new furnishings; newly decorated Bar Brasserie; new kitchen; upgraded fire system; new fire escape & lift installation.
Blood, sweat & tears have all been shed but it has been worth it. Within 6 months, we received 3 stars and were named by the P&J as a top 10 restaurant in 2007.
