Our hotel is placed in the so-called "Spanish Toscana" and guests often feel they arrived "home abroad, but better as beeing pampered, and on a holiday".
The old-fashioned way of travelling is what we like to give our guests- Time for contemplation, human care, food to write home about and the choice to stay in or visit the whole of Andalucia on day-trips from here.
For the last 18 years I ask all my guests my 5 favorite questions upon departure:
- was everything utterly clean?
- does anything in our hotel need our attention- is there anything you might have seen broken or tired?
- was everybody friendly?
- how was the food?
-is there anything we can improve on?
only if everything is un- improvable, we are satisfied using our revenues for further improvements.
Then there is the safety of this region. Safety and the mentality of the Andalusian people are exceptional.
My car-key is always inside my car with the door open. no-one would think of taking it without asking.
The open-hearted friendlyness and old-fashioned values are still very rooted.
This is what we are and the one guests´complain is : "we should have stayed longer!" this makes us happy
Surrounded by olive groves near Ronda, Andalusia, La Fuente de la Higuera is a luxurious, rural property where you can relax and enjoy beautiful views of the Andalusian countryside.
Take a dip in the lovely swimming pool set in the hotel’s gardens, or simply lie back and sunbathe in the summer months. In the winter, you can relax by reading a book in the hotel’s lounge, complete with log fire.
La Higuera is housed in a renovated olive oil mill, creating a traditional and family-run atmosphere, which will help you unwind while on holiday.
La Fuente de la Higuera also has an excellent restaurant onsite, where you can sample local-style cuisine, without leaving the hotel.
