When Count Spiridon Papadopoli bought the entire area of convent and as a love gift for his young wife Teresa Mosconi, “Spiro” decided to build a residence with a large park, at the end called, "the Papadopoli Garden" realized by architect and painter Francesco Bagnara, the designer of the Teatro La Fenice. The palace and park Papadopoli-Foresti became a famous and privileged venue of the high society, where the romantic couple (Spiro and Teresa) used to held extravagant parties for the nobility. With the creation of the hotel, an open space between the two wings becomes a "Winter Garden“ , from an idea of a famous Tuscan architect, Pietro Porcinai, an intelligent and sensitive tribute, a return to the spirit and structure of the ancient park.
