The George Inn is just six miles south of Bath and has offered hospitality to weary wanderers for over 700 years. It is one of the oldest Inns in England and reputed to be the longest continuously licenced premises in the country. This Grade 1 listed building still retains all it's character, charm & quirkiness with open fires & a warm welcome. The George is the place for a romantic stay, a family holiday or a get-together with friends. Some of our superior rooms have 4 poster beds. In addition to the accommodation at the George we have additional rooms at the Plaine opposite the Inn. These rooms are contemporary in design and it has been recently refurbished. Should all the rooms be reserved at the George then you will be automatically directed to the rooms at the Plaine. Check In and Breakfast are at the George Inn. Parking is at the Fleur de Lys which is also run from the George. The Fleur offers pizza and pasta and the George offers a more traditional a la carte menu.
Please note that due to the age of the property there are uneven floors, low ceilings and doors and a cobbled courtyard.
