Ammon Zeus IS the first hotel built in Halkidiki. Before the hotel was built, a Russian monastery was situated in the exact same place. You can still see parts of that monastery and the hotels Church is more than a 150 years old. Fragments of walls and columns, from that period, are scattered in the hotel area.
