The idea of Amazon Planet was born from 5 friends that had something in common: their passion for the Amazon Rainforest and their commitment to preserve it. This is how, the owner of Taricaya Reserve, an ex volunteer, 2 biologists and a veterinarian helping in the projects of Taricaya decided to buy land and open the Lodge next to the Reserve.

We offer the guests that stay with us a unique experience of ecotourism based on excellent quality service perfectly combined with social, cultural and ecological responsibility.

When you stay at Amazon Planet Lodge you live a true jungle experience knowing that your visit respects the ecosystem through our ecofriendly practices and helps to preserve the rainforest through the conservation and social projects we support in the area. You actually get to visit most of them and be part of our efforts as you explore, adventure and enjoy the nature around you!

Amazon Planet is a true ecolodge within a natural protected area surrounded by primary original rainforest and wild animals in their natural habitat. Free airport transfers, river transfers, all meals are included. Jungle excursions and adventure activities in the area such as treking, biking, fishing, and boat rides can be arranged. Full-on program itineraries are available for an add-on rate.

Guests can request tours to the property's rescue centre, where there are jungle cats, macaws, tapirs, and monkeys. They can also explore the different conservation projects, such as the Taricaya turtle project or visit Sandoval lake and catch a glimpse of the giant otters.

The rooms in Amazon Planet feature private bathrooms and terraces.

Breakfast is served daily and includes regional products. The on-site restaurant offers a daily menu and special diet, vegan or vegetarian meals can be provided upon request. The bar serves drinks, snacks, and liqueurs.

Guests at Amazon Planet have the chance to meet a native family from the jungle or a native community.

All guests are picked up at Padre Aldamiz International Airport and taken on a boat down the Madre de Dios river to the lodge.

Sandoval lake in the Tambopara national reserve is 10 km away (30-minute boat ride). Capitanía Port is 1 hour and 15 minutes away by boat.
