Our lodge is on a wildlife estate, with plenty of animals roaming around freely. A few hundred meters from the lodge is a bush area with game drive routes, bird hides, here you can walk, cycle or drive around. At the lodge we often have visitors like warthogs, impala, waterbuck, and many more animals.
African Rock Lodge offers luxury thatched-roof accommodation in Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. It features an outdoor pool with sun terrace, a rustic bar and a shared TV lounge.
All of the air-conditioned rooms include a seating area and free WiFi internet. The en-suite bathrooms are decorated with earthy stone tiles and have double washbasins, a rain shower, a bath and free toiletries.
A daily buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant or enjoy a typical South African barbecue on the tiled terrace. There is a well-stocked bar, DVDs and books in the guest lounge.
Attractions in the area include game drives, horse riding, hiking and tours of Kruger National Park. More adventurous options are canoeing and river rafting, which can all be arranged at the tour desk.
Blyde River Canyon is a 40-minute drive away from African Rock Lodge. An airport shuttle is available for Eastgate Airport, 11 km away by car.
