Our lodge, which is situated in De Kelders near Gansbaai, is directly at the Atlantic Ocean. At Walker Bay to be precise. And that is the ideal place to enjoy the presence of the Southern Right whales. These whales travel each year in great numbers to Walker Bay to mate, give birth and play until they depart to the ice cold water of Antarctica. Between June and December you don’t have to look for them. They are right at our doorstep and regularly come within just a few metres of the shore so can be easily spotted breaching, blowing, spy hopping or slashing their tails! You can even hear them!
Situated on the cliffs of De Kelders, a popular whale-watching spot in South Africa, Sea Star Cliff offers luxurious rooms overlooking the sea. The lodge features a terrace with outdoor pool.
