According to the real estate register of Engelberg the present building was errected in 1780 and in 1875 it was turned into a restaurant. After several restaurations and extensions the Alpenclub changed from a restaurant with just 6 tables to its present form. To keep a piece of past, grow landlord's tradition, to maintain mountain inn atmosphere and warmth is our goal.
