You are greeted with a wonderful fusion of old and new. Transparent modern glass structures marry the original 19th century building with our cool and contemporary additions. The two very distinct interior design styles are woven in to an eclectic mix. Together they form the perfect accent to the amazing views that stretch across the River Moy to the woodlands beyond making the Ice House one of the finest hotels in Mayo.

Originally called the ‘Iceland Cottage’ The Ice House hotel is a building steeped in history. Strategically positioned on the Moy Estuary, (which became the principal sea-port of Ireland) in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century tons of wild salmon were preserved here under ice before being shipped to the Dublin and Liverpool markets

The beautiful Ice House Hotel is right on the River Moy Estuary at Ballina. It has stunning views, ultra-luxury bedrooms and the award winning Chill Spa with its Waterside Garden.

Bedrooms and suites at Ice House have floor-to-ceiling windows, super king-sized beds, Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.

Restaurant 54° 9° and Cocktail Bar overlooks the River Moy and was converted from the building's original ice store. The award winning spa offers a thermal area and a relaxation area when enjoying a treatment.
