Inn On The River

Inn on the River is an experience that cannot be described with words or pictures. No mistake, the pictures are great, but it's one of those things that you say "words just cannot describe it". But here is a taste. The building is 100 years old and more elegant than ever with feather mattresses and antique clad rooms, gourmet meals prepared by Chef Lupe (I suspect she prepares better meals than any other in North Texas) and her staff, and a little piece of heaven sitting on the Paluxy River. Imagine the sounds of the river breaking over the falling rock damn. Escape from the noise of reality under the Singing Trees (made famous by song writer A.C. "Doodle" Owens and performed by Elvis Presley) that have stood for over 300 years. And that is just our property. Glen Rose and Somervell County offer memorable experiences like Dinosaur Valley State Park and Fossil Rim Wildlife. Take time to make a reservation right now. If your uncertain, come visit us and tour the Inn. Or better yet, make reservations for dinner any Friday or Saturday night and we will be glad to show you around while you are here. Fair warning, be prepared to experience the peacefulness of Inn on the River.
