Visit Urraca Private Island and encounter a new definition of Eco-tourism. This mangrove island paradise will welcome you with an authentic Bocas del Toro experience which includes countless possibilities to enjoy. Not only will you have the opportunity to share your visit with our other guests, but also 12 monkeys who live here on this paradise island. Quiso, the kinkajou, also comes out at night to visit.

This mangrove island has no land, only wooden paths connecting the bungalows surrounded by crystal clear waters. Guests are able to swim and snorkel in all areas around the island. Snorkeling gear is provided for you. There are also two cayucos available for use so that you can kayak around the island and experience how the locals get around on a daily basis. At night you can experience a view of the bio-luminescent waters which is a unique and magical experience.

There are 4 bungalows perfect for couples, each with a private balcony on the water and an outside shower.

We also have a large Family bungalow available which can sleep up to 6 people. This bungalow has two floors with a private bathroom/shower, private lounge/dining area and private dock.

Urraca Private Island Bocas del Toro offers a gourmet on-site restaurant and over-the-water bungalows, each with a private deck, terrace, shower with hot water, and ocean views. There's free WIFI everywhere on the property. Breakfast is included in the price of your stay; an a-la-carte menu is provided to purchase lunch and dinner.
The property features an outdoor saltwater pool, and is home to over a dozen monkeys rescued from the pet trade who permanently live on the island. There are many decks and lounging areas with hammocks around the island to relax, as well as picturesque swings over the water. The island is surrounded by turquoise waters with a rich diversity of marine life, the sun rises in front of the island year-round, and at night you can appreciate lots of stars and incredible bioluminescence in the water.
