A second Scandic Go Hotel is planned to open in Stockholm

by Nate Bakker, Hotel Researcher
After the successful launch of its first property on Upplandsgatan, Scandic Hotels Group is now ready to unveil its second masterpiece.

Nestled in the heart of Fridhemsplan, the former Best Western Fridhemsplan is undergoing an extensive transformation. The new Scandic Go hotel will be ready to welcome guests in late summer 2024, offering a unique blend of modern design, sustainable practices, and a gateway to the vibrant city of Stockholm.

Located in Fridhemsplan, on the island of Kungsholmen, and at the entrance to central Stockholm, the new Scandic Go will offer 221 rooms with a modern design, smooth self-service, and breakfast and hot food around the clock. What sets this place apart is our commitment to a youthful design that features smart solutions and clever storage facilities. This caters to a new target group of leisure travelers who want to take advantage of the city's leisure and experience offerings rather than focusing on the hotel stay itself.

The hotel will be certified according to the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, a sustainability certification recognized in the Nordic countries. This certification ensures the hotel meets environmental and climate criteria, making it a top choice for eco-conscious travelers. By aligning itself with these strict standards, Scandic Go demonstrates its unwavering commitment to ecological practices and responsible hospitality, offering our guests a guilt-free stay.
